[edit]At the tail-end of the Age of Wrath, the people that would become known as the Zertonians lived on a planet that orbited a red star on the verge of becoming a black hole. Zerta Trion led the Quintesson weapon Goliant to the star system to consume the star so she could trap him in the resulting singularity. Influencing the organics who lived in the system, Zerta had them disassemble their planets to forge the Sacred Ring. Needing to keep Goliant inactive until the time was right to kill him, Zerta split his mind among the organics. While one came to be known as the Agorrians, those with whom Zerta's words resonated became the Zertonians in her honor, deifying her in their society. Void Rivals #17
When the Sacred Ring fell to war, Zertonians were barred by sacred decree to listen to Agorrian handroids or remove their flight armor in front of Agorrians. They had a reputation among Agorrians for dishonesty and unwillingness to spare Agorrians' lives. Void Rivals #1
