When the [[Transformer]]s organised a party to celebrate both [[Christmas]] and the [[The Greatest Gift of All!|250th issue of ''Transformers'']] a sign on the door made it clear that the party was for Transformers only and Colin and Steve were not invited. Instead, they decided to hold their own party in the [[Combat Shed]] and invited a variety of [[Marvel Comics]] characters. {{storylink|Christmas with Combat Colin}}

With the [[Rhythms of Darkness!|300th issue of ''Transformers'']], Colin's strip was to be printed in full colour but while he was celebrating this development almost all his enemies attacked the Combat Shed simultaneously. Colin defeated them with a single blast from a boxing-glove gun, which gave him the confidence to suggest that he might boot out the Transformers and take over the whole comic. However, when [[Blaster (G1)|Blaster]] appeared to pick up Colin and ask him, "Boot WHO out and take WHAT over?" *Colin is depicted as being fully aware that he's a fictional character in a comic strip, often breaking the fourth wall to address the reader directly or reference the comic in which he appears.
*As well as occasionally appearing in the world of the ''Transformers'', Colin had some adventures involving other characters from the mainstream Marvel Universe. [[Spider-Man]] makes cameos in a number of strips, whilst [[Doctor Doom]] appeared in one two-part story. He totally kicked Doom's ass.
