He is never one to complain either, despite the fact that he is often the one pulling his comrades out of the fire, both figuratively and literally. Along with his Mini-Con brethren, Firebot was created by the [[Last Autobot]] to clean up the ravaged planet [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] in time for the [[Autobot]]s' return. The Night Rescue Team came to the rescue when an [[energon]] refinery suddenly exploded, and Firebot courageously rushed into the flaming inferno to look for survivors. After carrying one Mini-Con out, he immediately went back in, and thus missed the drama regarding a crazed Autobot supposedly having caused the explosion.

Firebot and his fellow team members were subsequently invited by [[Hacksaw]] to a meeting to discuss the accident, but he didn't add much to the conversation. Following the meeting, the Night Rescue Team was ordered to keep watch and organize cleanup alongside [[Knockdown (Classics)|Knockdown]] and [[Terrorsaur (Classics)|Terrorsaur]].

When it turned out that [[Broadside (Classics)|Broadside]] had orchestrated the accident in an attempt to keep the Autobots away from "their" world, a riot broke out among the Mini-Cons.
