* The shadowy "Decepticon" was, of course, unidentified in the episode he appeared in; ''The AllSpark Almanac II'' would later give him the name and backstory, in reference to the [[The Transformers (cartoon)|''Transformers'']] episode "[[Hoist Goes Hollywood (episode)|Hoist Goes Hollywood]]". This has caused some minor debate among ''Animated'' fans as to whether this "counts" as Hoist due to looking nothing like past incarnations. Truth be told, there's no firm evidence to suggest that this isn't a costume or makeup worn by a more traditional-looking Hoist, but in the absence of any other official designs,<!--The Wyatt/Perez design is fan art and doesn't count for our purposes--> it's all we've got.
