The '''A'ovan''' are green-skinned humanoid beings that share a planet with the blue-skinned [[Thraal]]. The two groups do not get along very well, which likely is the fault of the aggressive Thraal. Worse for the A'ovan, they are the physical inferior one of the two species and also appear to have a technological disadvantage to the Thraal, as the Thraal are seen using battlesuits and the A'ovan not.

[[Ratchet (Movie)|Ratchet]] got stuck on the A'ovan's and Thraal's planet after an incident involving a [[foldspace warhead]]. At that time, the A'ovan and Thraal were at war with each other. Upon [[scanning]] a Thraal tank to blend in, Ratchet additionally received information from the tank's onboard computer about the reasons and current situation of the war. An all-out attack by the Thraal on the last A'ovan stronghold motivated Ratchet to interfere, and he engaged the Thraal leader, [[Durguth]], in combat. Due to the Thraal's hierarchal system, none came to help their leader or continued the battle against the A'ovan while Durguth's authority wasn't certain. Ratchet won the battle, thereby becoming the new ruler of the Thraal Imperium.
