An '''Orbital Cycle ''' is a unit of time that corresponds to how long [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron's]] largest moon takes to orbit the planet, which makes it the Cybertronian equivalent of a month. Each orbital cycle consists of thirty-two [[Solar Cycle|solar cycles]] while ten orbital cycles make up a Cybertronian year, or a stellar cycle. Each orbital cycle has its own name and is associated with a sign from the [[Cybertronian zodiac]]. They are, in order that they appear in the [[Gregevorian Calendar]] system:

* Ferruneon - Trickery ([[Xal]])
* Navitaneon - Time ([[Chronarchitect]])
* Primaneon - Hunger ([[Void|The Void]])
* Inrituenon - Hunter ([[Shokaract]])
* Chokoneon - Unity ([[The One]])
* Zetcaneon - Combination ([[Serpentor|Serpent O.R.]])
* Boltaneon - Growth ([[Yggdrasill]])
* Rokuneon - Secrets ([[Key to Vector Sigma]])
* Heptaneon - Wisdom ([[Golden Disk (Animated)|The Golden Disk]])
* Bahneon - Peace ([[Aquarius (SG)|Aquarius]])

*The names of the orbital cycles were originally introduced in the Allspark Almanac II, and as such, most of them are some form of reference.
**Ferruneon is based on the Latin word for iron, ferrum, because, you know, Transformers are made out of metal.
**Navitaneon could be from the [[NAVI]] computers of the various [[Beast Wars: Transformers (franchise)|Beast Wars]] shows.
**Primaneon could be named after [[Prima (G1)|Prima]], [[Primus]], or [[Prime (disambiguation)|Prime]], but since it is associated with the Void in the Cybertronian Zodiac, it could also be named after [[Primacron (G1)|Primacron]], the creator of [[Unicron]] in the [[The Transformers (cartoon)|G1 cartoon]]. 
**Chokoneon derives its name from [[Chokon Power]], which is an energy source from the [[Transformers: Super-God Masterforce (franchise)|''Super-God Masterforce'']] series.
**Zetcaneon is named after the Masterforce Warrior, [[Zetca (Masterforce)|Zetca]], from the above series.
**Boltaneon receives its name from [[Boltax (G1)|Boltax]], the protector of the [[Underbase]].
**Rokuneon contains the word Roku, which is Japanese for six.
**Heptaneon comes from the Greek word hepta, meaning seven.
**Inrituneon and Bahneon get the short end of the stick as they don't appear to be based on something. 
* When first named in [[Transformers Animated: The AllSpark Almanac II|''The AllSpark Almanac II'']], Zetcaneon was referred to as Zetca-, with the hyphen suggesting that it should have the same "neon" ending as the others, but there was nothing to confirm this was an error at the time. It was corrected in [[Transformers Animated: The Complete AllSpark Almanac|''The Complete AllSpark Almanac'']]. 
*While Rokuneon and Heptaneon's names would indicate that they should be the sixth and seventh orbital cycles, respectively, they are listed as the eighth and the ninth. This is similar to the Gregorian Calendar with what happened to September and the months that followed it.
