The Insecticons plan to ambush the Autobots when they are their most vulnerable and alone. Wheelie, who lost his slingshot and wandered off to find it is viciously attacked and defeated. Then Wreck-Gar, who has left the other Autobots on a holy pilgrimage to a TV broadcast station![citation needed]

Finally, the Insecticons transform Autobot City into a blazing inferno to separate Ultra Magnus from his comrades and take down the besieged commander in the middle of his own city!

You play as the Decepticons.

Notes

[edit]
  • The title of this event, rather counter-intuitively, does not refer to the reunion of the Insecticons with their opponents, but to a reunion of the unit Ultra Magnus led on the planet Junkion. But neither of the other Campaign Bosses were part of that unit, and Wheelie was never even on the planet Junkion. Instead, the other members of his unit were offered as reward cards at the end of the event. A somewhat confused theme theme?
  • The episode was divided into 3 different campaigns; Operation Singshot (easy) where the player stalked Wheelie, Operation: Broadcast (medium) where the player stalked Wreck-Gar and Operation: Towering Inferno (hard) where the player stalked Ultra Magnus.[citation needed]
  • Ramjet is apparently still addled by the sonic attacks suffered during the "To the Rescue" episode because he is once again attacking the player, despite this being a Decepticon protagonist event.
  • This is the second episode to be set in the "future" around the events of The Transformers: The Movie, which was originally set in 2005 but presumably occurs much later in this continuity. The prior one was "All Hail Galvatron". A spanner was thrown in the works by the later episode "The Coronation of Starscream", which not only had cards depicting the Insecticons being reformatted by Unicron, but established that Cyclonus, Scourge, and the Sweeps were active in Megatron's army prior to the attack on Autobot City.
  • Ruby crystal medals make their return from the previous event, this time in greater quantity, used to purchase Shrapnel Sharpshot cards in different flavors.
  • Sharpshot was available in 3 different versions for this event with x3, x5 and x7 attack-multiplier versions, all of which were purchasable with ruby crystal medals earned during the event. When the event ended and the multipliers were removed the cards still all had different stats.
  • This event was of the "dungeon crawl" style, and thus sucked.
