V-Wings are battle spacecraft first used by the Galactic Republic in the battle against the Confederacy. These starfighters are equipped with missile launchers as well as the ability to transform into mechs, and are known to be piloted by Clone Pilots. After the Republic was reorganized into the Empire, Clone Pilots used these V-Wings to hunt forces still loyal to the Jedi after Order 66.

The name of the V-Wings seems to be derived from, well, the shape of their wings, much like the X-wings and Y-Wings.

"Ultimately, I serve only one master... the just and peaceful Galactic Republ- Hang on a second, I'm getting a call from the Chancellor..."
  • Shock Trooper to V-wing Starfighter (2009)
    • Accessories: 2 missiles
The Shock Trooper figure sports a fairly simple transformation from robot to V-wing. Its arms have an awkward amount of joints which make its posing difficult in some instances. The ship features two missile launchers with two-pronged missiles, which become the robot's lower arms. Its hands are just molded onto the launchers and can't hold anything.
This mold was redecoed to make Clone Pilot to V-wing Starfighter.

Good soldiers follow orders...
  • Clone Pilot to V-wing Starfighter (2009)
    • Accessories: 2 missiles
A black, white, and grey redeco of the shock trooper toy, this figure represents clone pilots and V-Wings under the banner of the newly formed Galactic Empire, who hunted Jedi survivors shortly after the execution of Order 66.[1] It retains all the play features and limitations of the original release. Its hands are blocked by spring backed discs that are stuck at first.
This is the first clone pilot toy to represent the Empire rather than the Republic.
