Leonard Norman "Len" Wein (June 12, 1948 – September 10, 2017) was an American writer for comic books and television animation. He was perhaps best known for co-creating Amanda Waller, Lucius Fox, Mongul, Human Target, Arisia Rrab, and Swamp Thing for DC Comics, and for writing Giant-Size X-Men #1 for Marvel Comics — in which he co-created some of the X-Men's most popular characters, including Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Thunderbird and Wolverine.
