"I need to see this play like I need a hole in the head."

Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States. He had the personality of an Optimus Prime.[1] After his death, he was immortalized in limestone and marble with the (conveniently Decepticon-sized) Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., and on the face of Mount Rushmore in South Dakota.

He is the namesake of the USS Abraham Lincoln and (probably) the city of Lincoln.

Fiction

[edit]

The Transformers cartoon

[edit]
If he'd had more time, he could have used the Kennedy Memorial to roast marshmallows.

When the Decepticons allied with the forces of Sub-Atlantica to conquer Washington, Megatron turned the Lincoln Memorial into a throne for himself by ripping the figure of Lincoln out of its chair, declaring it to have been made for him. Once the villains were routed, Ratchet and Ironhide put the memorial back together. No harm done! Atlantis, Arise!

Be the Hero books

[edit]
The following summarizes one or more multipath adventures. Details vary depending on the paths taken in-story. See the book's page for information on alternate paths.

Time-Quake

[edit]

The night before giving his Gettysburg Address, Lincoln was up late working on his speech when a light show led him and his aide, Mr. Williams, to recover a strange metal orb. The next day at the cemetery he was dedicating, he was approached by you and Bulkhead, time-displaced from the twenty-second century. After you helped him with the wording of his speech, he noticed you carried another of the metal balls. When he presented you with the one he had found, you and Bulkhead disappeared into thin air. Time-Quake

2005 IDW continuity

[edit]

After a deep conversation with Optimus Prime, Spike Witwicky compared him to Abraham Lincoln. He wondered to himself if the mode-locked Decepticon Breakdown sounded like the old president too, but had some doubts. Enemies of the System

Live-action film series

[edit]
Megatron's audition for the role of John Wilkes Booth.

Transformers film

[edit]

Dark of the Moon film

[edit]

After Sentinel Prime betrayed the Autobots, Megatron arrived in Washington, D.C. He saw the Abraham Lincoln Memorial a fitting new throne for him, and destroyed the statue with his fusion shotgun. Igor then promptly chewed on the statue's head. Dark of the Moon

The Last Knight film

[edit]

Lincoln was a member of the Order of the Witwiccans, a group of humans who knew of the presence of Transformers on Earth and worked to keep their secret. The Last Knight

Prime cartoon

[edit]

Ask Vector Prime

[edit]

In some realities, Vector Prime was active when Abraham Lincoln was president of the United States of Australia. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/09/07

It is unclear if Vector Prime's knowledge of Earth history is fuzzy, or if this is some kind of alternate history.

Transformers vs. The Terminator

[edit]

In the Terminator's original timeline, the Decepticons were the only Transformers on The Ark to be revived in 1984. Without the Autobots to oppose them, Megatron led the Decepticons in the conquest of Earth, where Mount Rushmore was an early casualty in conflict. Eventually, the human race was wiped out with only the Skywatch supercomputer network Skynet and its Terminator robots left to fight a losing war. Ultimately Skynet's forces would feign surrender to the Cybertronians, sending a lone T-800 unit to the Lincoln Memorial to kneel before Megatron, who had turned the monument into his personal throne. Enemy of My Enemy Part Two

Games

[edit]

Transformers: The Game (console)

[edit]

After winning the battle of Mission City and getting his hands on the AllSpark, Megatron destroyed the statue at the Lincoln Memorial and watched from its chair as his Decepticons conquered Earth. Transformers: The Game
