The Trio Formation (トリオフォーメーション Torio Fōmēshon) is a harebrained idea by Decepticon Headmaster Weirdwolf. He stayed up all night coming up with it!
- Weirdwolf, Skullcruncher and Mindwipe transform to beast mode, Skullcruncher gets on top of Weirdwolf, then Mindwipe climbs on top of him in a sort of bizarre beast totem pole.
- The trio of Headmasters walks towards the target with the aim of scaring them.
- Pray that Snapdragon and Apeface don't come along and try and help out, otherwise it will fall apart.

This version of the formation, with Skullcruncher on top, Weirdwolf in the middle, and Mindwipe on the bottom, proved more effective and succeeded in injuring Ginrai. LG35 Super Ginrai
