Motorhead is a Decepticon Micromaster from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Dammit, where's my umlaut?

Motorhead actually cares what his boss on the Race Track Patrol thinks of him. He spends too much time on the battlefield making sure Barricade notices his victories, instead of defeating the enemy. This just makes Barricade yell at him more, but he's getting better all the time. So much that, in fact, his teammate Roller Force is prepared to take him down if he gets too big for his circuits.

Motorhead was among the Micromasters created by the Autobots and Decepticons millions of years after the launch of the Ark. He was trained by the fearsome Bombshock and was persuaded by his star pupil, Barricade, to join the Decepticons. Victims of the Revolution Motorhead and his team were sent to disrupt the Monster Trucks Patrol's retrieval of the fallen Roadbuster, resulting in a firefight with their old comrades in the Hot Rod Patrol. Motorhead's sloppy shooting was berated by Barricade, and so he refocused his efforts—and shot his old friend Crunch. Shaken, Motorhead returned with his team to Decepticon HQ. Once there, Barricade became disgusted with Shockwave's indifference to the plight of the Micromasters and took his team to Little Iacon. En route, they encountered the similarly alienated Hot Rod Patrol, but a confrontation between the two teams was preempted by the vampiric Insecticons. Destined for Nothing The Micromasters tried to defend themselves, but were unable to stop the marauders until the timely intervention of Groundshaker, who departed with the Hot Rod Patrol. Motorhead and his comrades briefly met with Shockwave, but continued on to Little Iacon regardless. While relaxing at an underground bar, they met the Hot Rod Patrol again. During the subsequent Insecticon raid on Little Iacon, Barricade made a deal with their leader, Venom, to help them find the Hot Rod Patrol. Motorhead openly questioned Barricade's decision, but was reassured when Barricade told him that he intended to betray the Insecticons once their own safety was assured. He said as much, but Barricade quickly silenced him, berating him once more for his weakness and indecisiveness. Upon their arrival in Decepticon HQ, they found the Decepticons planning for a massive assault. Summoned by Shockwave, they instead found themselves granted an audience by Skystalker and Skyhopper—standing upon the fallen form of Shockwave! Recipe for Hate Skystalker rallied the Decepticon Micromasters to his cause and sent the full-sized Decepticon troops to their deaths in a futile battle, a plan that disgusted Motorhead. Nevertheless, Motorhead and his comrades defended Skystalker's command post from a Countdown-led attack. With the Autobots helpless, Countdown tried to appeal to Motorhead's distaste for the Decepticon ideology, but had little success—until Barricade told him that he'd pressured him into fighting for the wrong team. Motorhead then joined the other Micromasters in a march on the battlefield where Skystalker had sent the Autobots and the Decepticons to die. Motorhead and the rest of the Race Track Patrol were among the Builders guarding Fortress Maximus when the Resistance attacked, and all four were killed in combat with Corahda. Head Games

War for Cybertron Trilogy marketing material

With Cybertron's fate sealed and the Autobots gone, the Decepticons followed them closely through space aboard the Nemesis in pursuit of the AllSpark. Earthrise webpage Stingracer, Runner, and Motorhead were dispatched to follow Fireguard, Roadburner, and Windstorm to Micron, where they would sabotage their mission to collect the powerful yet dangerous plasma energy and seize it for themselves.

The Autobots took advantage of the dense population of Micron to hide out until they were ready to take the plasma energy. As Micron was the most secure planet in the universe, the plasma energy generators were protected enough for both sides to struggle to reach them. The Decepticons made contact with the plasma energy first, only to be effectively disintegrated by the unstable energy for the troubles when the generator overloaded. Released in the seventh (and final) year of Hasbro's US Transformers toyline (sixth and not-final year in European markets), Motorhead transforms into a yellow 1987 Callaway (B2K) Chevrolet Corvette. Motorhead is gang-molded with his teammate Ground Hog, sharing the same plastic colors.

He was only available in a four-pack with his teammates Barricade, Ground Hog, and Roller Force.

In Takara's markets, the Team was released as the "Race Track Patrol Team", released in the Zone portion of Takara's Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers toyline. They are physically identical to their Hasbro counterparts. They are one of a whopping two Decepticon regular-retail releases in the entire Zone toyline, the other being Metrotitan. This makes them the only Hasbro Micromaster team to keep their Decepticon faction in Japan.

War for Cybertron: Earthrise

Part of the Encounter 2 set of the Earthrise Galactic Odyssey Collection, representing Micron, Motorhead is a redeco of fellow Race Track Patrol member Ground Hog, transforming from a robot into a muscle car with side exhaust pipes. He comes with the Race Track Patrol leader, Decepticon Runner, intended to complete the team for hardcore collectors. He can combine with his boss to form a wieldable weapon, with Decepticon Runner forming the main gun while Motorhead forms the ammunition storage.

Motorhead is part of a six-pack exclusive to Amazon, bundled with Autobots Fireguard, Roadburner, and Windstorm, and fellow Decepticons Runner and Stingracer. Despite being labeled as "Encounter 2" in the Galactic Odyssey Collection, this was the third set to be officially revealed. The reasons for this delay are unknown.
