Notes
[edit]- In the pastiche of The Transformers: The Movie that is "Another Light", the Autotroopers take the role of the Sweeps, reformatted from defeated villains by Unicron to serve under their similarly reborn leader. Checkpoint, of course, is their Scourge. Unlike Scourge and the Sweeps however, the Autotroopers are not identical to Checkpoint, as their heads are visibly different from his, though identical to each other.
- The Autotroopers are modeled on the Combiner Wars Offroad mold. Per the Hasbro practice of creating "pretooled" alternate heads for Combiner Wars molds, the Autotroopers use the Generation 1 Hoist head associated with the Trailbreaker body retooling. According to BotCon collaborator Shawn D. Tessmann, the Autotroopers were at one stage intended to be the BotCon 2016 troop builder set, though the Autotroopers in the comic do not sport the new arms that the Trailbreaker/Hoist body also included).
- An earlier concept had them based on the Thrilling 30 Trailbreaker mold (also using that mold's Hoist head).[1]
