- Collaborative Frankentron is a retooling of Siege Impactor, transforming into a Cybertronian tank. In place of Impactor's rifle/turret-cannon, he comes with a large Tesla coil, which can be plugged into his vehicle mode turret to create a fantasy lightning gun. He also has a purple "lightning" bolt effect piece that fits on the orb-end of the coil. Curiously this effect piece has a diagonal 5 mm post towards its base; just where this is meant to be used is unclear.
- As this is a crossover with Universal Studios, the toy is specifically meant to call back to the 1931 Frankenstein film. Thus the classic flat-topped head with neck-bolts, and new hands molded to reference the movie monster's arms-out staggering posture. His chest and thighs have also been retooled to give him more asymmetry, as befitting the made-of-parts monster.
- Like Draculus, his box is designed to resemble a VHS case, with an inner slide out portion resembling a VHS tape. The inner tape "labels" and backing the figure is attached to has a message written in Ancient Autobot that translates to "Its alive" [sic].
- Frankentron was exclusive to Amazon.com and various gift shops at Universal Studios theme parks, with small quantities also available on Hasbro Pulse.
