Hammerstrike is a Maximal from the Beast Machines portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Had a big part in Yellow Submarine.

Hammerstrike is not known for his smarts, but he is known for his insatiable desire for combat! He's the best there is at what he does, which is destroy Vehicons in devastating "frenzy" assaults. He knows no fear and feels no pain.

TransTech

Hammerstrike was one of many offworlders in Axiom Nexus, falling in with Alpha Trion, who mistakenly assessed him to be just another malcontent amenable to his cause. Trion had Hammerstrike's spark swapped into the chassis of his female TransTech counterpart, and Hammerstrike thus assumed her counterpart's job in the Axiom Nexus capitol. However, when Hammerstrike questioned the morality of her orders, Alpha Trion abandoned Hammerstrike to her job which she found frustratingly difficult to do.

While the Shroud began falling upon the multiverse, Hammerstrike was the courier for a message from Minister of Higher Dimensional Sciences Rhinox to Intelligence Directorate Starscream. She subsequently hacked a broadcast by her celebrity idol Rook to share the information which she had come upon: the Uniend Cluster had dropped off the TransTechs' scanners as well. Beast Wars: Uprising

Hammerstrike was an enforcer for Cryotek and his Minions of Unicron. Cryotek lost a great deal of territory and influence to Megatron's Darksyders over the years, but he finally pinpointed the upstart's base of operations. Hammerstrike joined her leader in infiltrating the Builder mansion, only to find Megatron was waiting for them. The trap was sprung with a series of Dropkick drones disguised as statues, and Cryotek's enforcers were quickly wiped out. Not All Megatrons

Part of the first wave of the Beast Machines "Battle for the Spark" rebranding, Hammerstrike transforms into a beige, blue, and orange technorganic hammerhead shark with a very odd, alien, spindly looking robot mode. The head of the shark becomes a claw-held weapon that slams forward when triggered by the spark crystal.

• While Hammerstrike himself does not appear in 3H's Universe comics, Sharkticons based on Hammerstrike's design appear alongside the traditional Sharkticon designs from Generation 1 in Wreckers #2. However, these drones were miscolored as Hammerstrike in the initial printing of "Betrayal"; the "director's cut" reprint fixes this, giving them a black and purple color scheme.
• Hammerstrike's Beast Machines bio shares similarities to Cybershark's Beast Wars bio, implying that the two might be the same character. Subsequent fiction has not taken this as the case.
