- Rook is a Transcendent Technomorph from the TransTech continuity.

Rook is an investigative journalist for Axiom Nexus News. A dedicated reporter determined to find the truth, Rook has an unfortunate tendency towards stubbornness, jumping to conclusions and paranoid beliefs in conspiracies by the TransTech leadership - beliefs which are, of course, completely unfounded.
He also has been known to shout at confused old men and accuse them of being ancient Primes, and can be distracted by bots with beautiful eyes. He doesn't think very highly of dumb terrans, and couldn't understand why anyone would care about them.
And for the love of Primus, don't ask him to handle job applications.

Rook was a field reporter for ANN's Around Cybertron newsfeed in the TransTech city of Axiom Nexus. He reported on Ruckus, Needlenose, and Crankcase's bungled attempt to rob an "energon refinery" that turned out to be a waste fuel depot. Rook stepped in something horrible in the process, but the anchor-bot Andromeda didn't seem to notice. Around Cybertron #1 He also covered a report involving two bosses, a disgruntled offworlder, and a plush lizard. Around Cybertron #2

During his many reports for ANN, Rook covered many subjects, and had a few adventures of his own:
- He managed to avoid a traffic jam at the Hydra Loop thanks to a call-in tip from a certain "Tip-Point 37."
- He reported on a new oil find in Sym-phur. He quoted
RapticonDinotron about the issues on "conservation" brought up by this new discovery. - He interviewed the offworlder Krok on the topic of mecha-soccer players Kickstart and Heavyfoot.
- He talked about Equinicon racing, and the black mark the sport had recently received via rumors of cheating plaguing the once-beloved sport.
- He treated his viewers to a special edition of ANN Tonight, where he investigated what made Axiom Nexus so great. During this special series of reports, he covered the events that first alerted their ancestors to the existence alternate universe, the creation of the "Dux non Intruitus" decree, and the more recent formation of the Convoy. He also covered the "mass reemergence" of the Mini-Cons to Axiom Nexus, and talked about both Optimus's and Megatron's rise in politics.
- He interviewed Rhinox about the nature of the latter's job as cataloger and analyzer of the multiverse.
- He reported on Heinrad's time travel shenanigans.
- He went on a rant about Starscream's questionable bureaucracy.
- He actually interviewed Heinrad, and was overtly polite during the interview due to fear that Heinrad might erase him from existence with his temporal powers. Rook - Axiom Nexus News: Investigative Journalist
- He got an intern assigned to him, the Mini-Con Crosswise. When Rook invited him to chip in on an interview he was conducting about interns, Rook realized that as an Aurex-type Mini-Con, Crosswise spoke his own language, and asked if anyone could translate. Beachcomber did so, revealing that Crosswise was looking for a REAL Rook, so that they could herald the coming of Unicron together. Rook flipped out and brought the interview to an end.
- He interviewed Cheetor, and nearly got lost in those beautiful eyes of his...
- The Editor reprimanded him for "harassing" Vector Prime during one of the Ask Vector Prime segments.
- He traded Mini-Con interns with Andromeda, and wound up being stuck with Deduce.
- He was tasked with passing on information to the populace about Cybertron's ten most wanted criminals, though much of the information had been lost due to a blackout.
- Upon hearing that the notorious thief Packrat was on Cybertron due to Heinrad bringing him to their Universe, Rook confronted Cheetor, demanding an explanation. Cheetor denied any knowledge of the situation.
- After the Waruder invasion, Rook interviewed Rhinox about the Cymond Cluster, a newly discovered set of universes, and why it had escaped the TransTechs' notice until now.
- He was in communication with Romy as she reported live on the OZSA’ rescue of Vector Prime from the clutches of Sideways.
- He interviewed Stungun to try and get to the bottom of all the chaos that had been happening in Axiom Nexus lately. Upon learning that Cybertron's Most Wanted were at the scene when the Waruder invasion was quelled, he tried to get Stungun to confirm that their leader was in fact a "Megatron." Rook then went off on a rant, accusing the government of conspiring to bring in an Offworlder Megatron to Axiom Nexus. He was interrupted by Deduce, who informed him that Starscream had called in to say that Rook would be arrested for treason if he did not desist. Rook signed off, but not before warning his viewers to remain vigilant.
- He reported that Axiom Nexus's science and threat assessment departments had teamed up to send out hundreds of probes to scope out the unexplored fringes of the multiverse. When he learned that some probes were late, Rook was outraged over the prospect that Offworlders might get a hold of the probes and reverse engineer their technology. Starscream reassured him that there was no chance of such a thing happening. Hoping to catch Starscream in a lie, Rook went to interview Rhinox, but only received a similar dismissal.
- He reported "live" from Uniend 1012.30 Kappa via holomatter avatar. During his broadcast, he discovered that Axiom Nexus had lost all contact with outposts orbiting realities in Fornax, Yayayarst, and Iocus clusters. Rook - Axiom Nexus News: Investigative Journalist
- He was in live contact with Andromeda as she reported from the Senate building on government officials discussing the loss of contact with yet another cluster. Andromeda - Axiom Nexus News Reporter
When Vector Prime left Axiom Nexus abruptly, Rook was given the task of finding a replacement for the column's editor. Axiom Nexus News Editor, 2015/10/01 He turned to Cragun's List to quickly accomplish this task. His first response was from Grimlock. After a brief interview, Rook hired him so he could get back to his government investigation. Rook - Axiom Nexus News, 2015/10/01 Rook was called back by his Editor when the ratings for Grimlock's column started to plummet. Upon being informed that Grimlock had been fired, Rook was tasked with finding another replacement. Axiom Nexus News Editor, 2015/10/03 Rook settled on Swindle, from Swindle, Swindle and Swindle. Rook - Axiom Nexus News, 2015/10/03 This did not sit well with his editor, as he had basically given free air time to an advertiser. Rook was tasked with finder yet another replacement. Axiom Nexus News Editor, 2015/10/06 After putting in Sentinel Minor as the new columnist, Rook headed to a party a the Crystal Towers to pester Senator Ratbat some more. During one of Rook's broadcast, Aston's feed was hacked by Hammerstrike, who offered up confirmation that there was a government conspiracy at work. Rook learned that not only were the TransTech purposely withholding information from the people about the ongoing developments concerning the "Shroud" and its obscuring of Axiom Nexus's trans-dimensional observances, but that the Uniend cluster had recently gone dark as well. Becoming overly excited about this scoop, Rook blurted out his informant's name over the live feed. Unfazed over the fact that Hammerstrike's feed had suddenly been cut off, Rook swore he would get to the bottom of things, and advised his viewers to remain vigilant. When the latest replacement columnist for Vector Prime's old column wound up not working out (surprise, surprise), Rook's editor tasked him once again to find a 'bot for the job. On his editor's assistance to get someone "like" a villain in the hopes of replicating the success they had with Cy-Kill, Rook hired Sky-Byte. Axiom Nexus News Editor, 2015/10/21
After Starscream reluctantly assumed wide-ranging control over security issues, Rook interviewed the Directorate General's new number-2, Blackarachnia. He questioned her about the power grab and her history of getting her spark ganked by offworlders, and she responded with barely contained vitriol for 'lowtechs'. Rook - Axiom Nexus News, 2015/12/02
When the news leaked out about all the members of the elusive Convoy, Rook got into some trouble when he grumbled about the inclusion of General Hawk, labeling it "political correctness run amok". After one-hundred megacycles at a court-mandated sensitivity course, he was absolutely definitely over that, and would never say things like that again in public. Rook - Axiom Nexus News, 2016/02/07
Rook continued to be disgruntled about the new status quo, especially after Starscream threatened him to stop investigating agents sent to monitor the "foundational realities", and was unable to stop himself snarking how if only we had leaders like that during a puff piece on Optimus Primal. Rook - Axiom Nexus News, 2016/03/03
Starscream had him taken away to Serenity Spa, the Ministry of Information's thoughtcrime "correction" facility. The reporter began to babble pro-Starscream lines before the programming broke down and he began to scream out. Rook - Axiom Nexus News, 2016/03/13 After that, the directorate-general's goons "prescribed" Rook some heavy-duty circuit-suppressants which seemed to work just a little too well. Suddenly, Rook didn't care about covering the harsh stuff, instead wanting to help the viewers get in touch with the great cosmic tree, man. A concerned Andromeda sent Aston to get Rook a drink to un-steady his nerves. Once sufficiently pumped up to be closer to his normal self, Rook was informed the program only had forty-five nanokliks left. Rook - Axiom Nexus news, 2016/03/17
Rook and Andromeda continued to produce the state-mandated pieces on the Beast Wars, such as Stampy when pressed for time. Rook - Axiom Nexus News, 2016/03/27 As well as an interview with Sky Grinder of the Neo-Sapiens, whose name Rook didn't bother getting right, followed by a piece on the Predacon Megatron, in-between back-and-forth sniping with Andromeda. Rook - Axiom Nexus News, 2016/04/03
Rook sat in on Andromeda's interview with Convoy member General Hawk. Having apparently learnt nothing from those sensitivity courses, Rook quickly proceeded to mock human naming cultures, and their lifespans. He quickly lost interest as Hawk explained how he wound up in Axiom Nexus in the first place, thanks to all those boring human names. Andromeda - Axiom Nexus News, 2016/05/01
