- Series: Classics Series
- Known designers: Andrew Scribner (deco artist)
- Part of the first wave of Universe Voyager Class toys, Drill Bit is a green, bronze, black, orange, and purple redeco of Cybertron Stripmine, transforming into a Cybertronic treaded vehicle with a cannon of some form on the top, possibly a laser-drill or a variant of a MASER tank.
- They were available only with their larger partner Heavy Load. Drill Bit can stand on the "control panel" portion of Heavy Load's vehicle mode above the mixing drum, or attach to it in vehicle mode.
- Due to a design flaw, Drill Bit cannot Powerlinx to most toys in vehicle mode, due to their treads blocking the socket. However, though Heavy Load's instructions fail to show it, Drill Bit does have a peg that allows their big buddy to hold them as an odd rifle-sorta... weapon?
Notes
[edit]- Heavy Load's instruction sheet spells Drill Bit's name as a single word, "Drillbit". However, the box copy retains the two-word version that's been used by every other iteration of the name.
- Heavy Load's packaging bio features no pronouns for Drill Bit.
- Drill Bit auditioning for the Constructicons bares resemblance to another Drill Bit.
