- The USS Miskatonic is a ship from the Hearts of Steel portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
The USS Miskatonic is a Kansas-class pre-dreadnought battleship serving in the United States Navy in the year 1888.
Fiction

[edit]The Miskatonic was traveling to Ireland when it was suddenly attacked by an Elder God rising from beneath the waves. The Autobot Ironhide, who was disguised as one of the ship's gun turrets, managed to escape before it was ripped to shreds and sunk by the monster's tentacles. Infestation 2: The Transformers #1 Some of the crew got on a lifeboat, but had died of fear by the time they were found by the HMS Indomitable. Infestation 2: The Transformers #2
"Strange Visitors" establishes that events identical to those of Hearts of Steel and Infestation 2 occur in the 2005 IDW continuity; however, they happened to Maximal explorers brainwashed by Shockwave into believing they were the Autobots and Decepticons of the Great War.
