A member of the astro class, yesterday.

On Cybertron under the rule of the Functionist Council, Transformers are assigned a class according to their alternate mode, in this case, space-capable forms. Relatively high on the Grand Cybertronian Taxonomy, members of the astro class such as the Lunabots have traditionally been exempt from the Functionist Council's purges.

The Functionist Universe

[edit]

In an alternate timeline and following the forced sale of Luna 2 to the Black Box Consortia, the Council decreed that the Lunabots would be the latest Transformers to be recalled and their obsolescence chips were detonated. Somehow one of the Lunabots escaped this fate, but was discovered trying to escape at a spaceport and summarily executed by a pair of Functionaries in front of the horrified Rewind and Minimus Ambus. Surviving Lunabots would later go on to join the Anti-Vocationist League. Anomie
