Laid-back and slightly dreamy, Lightbright is an accomplished Cityspeaker who'd much rather explore deep space aboard peaceful Titans like Lodestar or dance to a catchy song than take to the battlefield. Something of a romantic, in both the classical and modern sense, she's entranced by the beauty of outer space and can even see the good in Decepticons like Sparkstalker—given the right set of circumstances, this trust can even blossom into true love.

Lightbright was a Transformer from the impoverished world of Caminus and had a seat on the Council of Voices. She witnessed Menasor and Swindle's arrival on their homeworld, via spacebridge. First Contact When Menasor subsequently began causing disturbances on their world, Lightbright and fellow Cityspeaker Hot Shot reported to their commander, Afterburner, the warnings Caminus was giving them. While Hot Shot was unable to translate exactly what the Titan was saying, Lightbright was able to discern that he was saying "Enigma", though it still didn't prepare the Camiens for Menasor's rampage. Caminus's departed Cityspeaker, Windblade returned and addressed Lightbright and the others at the Forgefire, telling them that another combiner, Superion, would soon arrive to defeat Menasor, and the he was a friend. Following Menasor's defeat, and during Starscream's attempt at first contact with Caminus, Lightbright and the other members of the Forgefire Parliament accompanied the Mistress of Flame to meet Optimus Prime, the living Prime and bearer of the Matrix of Leadership. When the Decepticons showed up on Caminus to help out, they were left quite bemused when Lightbright and her friends welcomed them: with no first-hand experience of the war, she just saw the Decepticons as some nice dudes helping her planet. Lightbright was later seen at Maccadam's, sharing a drink with Sparkstalker and not-so-subtly flirting with him. Windblade vol. 2 #4

Sparkstalker later asked her to be his Conjunx Endura. She agreed! Choose Me Lightbright and Sparkstalker were among those who felt betrayed when Optimus Prime annexed Earth, and were part of a crowd protesting against the Prime's apparent imperialism. The Medium and the Message

In the wake of Sentinel Prime's rampage in the Decepticon ghetto of Iacon, Lightbright participated in the recovery, helping up a wounded Decepticon. White Heat Sentinel Prime managed to escape Cybertron before he could be apprehended; months later, his army of undead Titans descended on Cybertron to lay waste to the planet. The combined population of Cybertron attempted to repel the invaders, but were ultimately overwhelmed by the colossal warriors: a situation made worse by the fact that Elita One's crew aboard the Titan Carcer were unwilling to transform their Titan to help the struggling Metroplex. Windblade came up with a desperate last-ditch plan: assembling a team of volunteers, they attacked Carcer so that Windblade could establish a cityspeaker link with the Titan and convince him to transform. As part of the plan, Lightbright was given a holo-generator that disguised her as Windblade; along with Sparkstalker, she ran interference for the Carcerian crew and led Elita on a wild goose chase, buying time for the real Windblade to link up with Carcer's brain module. Lightbright and Sparkstalker were part of the force defending Caminus from Unicron. They were saved from a group of Maximals by Dirge, only to witness him slaughtered by a large clawed one. Lightbright was the cityspeaker assigned to the Titan Lodestar. The Change In Your Nature Part Five Over the megacycles, the two forged a close bond, exploring the wonders of space and enjoying dancing together. Light/Star When Lodestar was chosen to ferry Sentinel Prime's retinue on his tour of the Cybertronian colonies, Lightbright accompanied her friend. After troubling news from home, the tour was cut short. As several alien guests disembarked at Hexagon, Lightbright was contacted by Nautica to run a scan of any organics outside their expected zones. After Lodestar returned to Cybertron, Lightbright remained aboard her friend, jamming out to some tunes about Velocitron, before Blaster informed the duo of sabotage to the Titan Net and Vigilem going rogue. Quickly catching up to the rogue Titan, the duo found themselves overwhelmed by Vigilem's considerable arsenal, even as Lightbright frantically attempted to reroute power and systems. A final blast severed Lightbright's control to her friend before Lodestar informed her that the Tether had been severed. The Change In Your Nature Part Five

Crippled but alive, Lodestar was brought to Polyhex for repairs but remained grounded. Orion Pax opined to Sentinel that security around the Titan should be beefed up. All Fall Down Visiting the site, Orion told Lightbright to take Lodestar to the Black Hub for a weaponized refit once she was repaired, lest Vigilem decide to return. Swindle's

Soon repaired, Lightbright and Lodestar left for the Black Hub. Tremors

After Lodestar underwent a full refit at the Black Hub into a combat-ready configuration, Lightbright welcomed Scattershot and his team of Technical Specialists team aboard, though she cautioned that Lodestar would hate the imploder that they'd brought with them. Five cycles after a successful weapon test, the group tracked Vigilem to Hexagon. As Scattershot attempted to speak to Thunderwing, Lightbright directed Lodestar to speak to Vigilem directly to no avail. After the two reflected on happier times and their current circumstances, a blackout field suddenly cut them off from the Specialists.

When Vigilem was suddenly disconnected from Hexagon and set out for Cybertron, Lodestar confronted him, the two Titans resuming their battle. Seeing that the fight could still not be won, Lightbright urged her friend to deploy the imploder, killing Vigilem. Following the retrieval of the Specialists, Lightbright and Lodestar enjoyed another dance as they sailed back to the Black Hub before Lightspeed informed the two that all of the other Titans orbiting Cybertron had been destroyed. Overwhelmed by emotion, Lightbright told Lodestar to play a different song as she silently gazed into a hologram of the crystal asteroids they had once navigated, trying to process the loss — for Lodestar was now the very last Titan. Before the group could return to the Black Hub, Lodestar received a distress call from Cybertron. A Dust of Crystals With all of Lodestar's systems shot, Lightbright piloted her friend, The Landscape of Fear making a dramatic touchdown at Crystal City just as the Decepticons had broken through the Autobot lines. A Dust of Crystals With Lodestar's sheer size scaring away most of the invaders, Lightbright informed Optimus Prime of the Titan's inhibited state before she deployed Computron against Strika's Heavies. After using Lodestar's imposing frame to force Strika into a parley, Lightbright excused herself to seek medical aid for Lodestar, Optimus asking if the two could make it to Darkmount. At Darkmount, Hoist and Wheeljack went to work stabilizing Lodestar while prepping her for launch. They were successful and Lightbright and Lodestar joined Sky Lynx and the last Ark in leaving Cybertron behind, waiting for their opportunity to retake it from the Decepticons. Fate fof Cybertron
