The company was formed in 2005 after the merger of Bandai and Namco, creators of franchises such as Soulcalibur, Tales, Tekken, Ace Combat and most famously, Pac-Man. The company is also known for publishing titles based on anime such as Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and Digimon, among many others. They have co-developed several games for Nintendo, including later entries in the Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros franchises.
