| This article is about the building that is sometimes a character. For the eponymous small character, see Greasepit (Micromaster). For a list of other meanings, see Greasepit (disambiguation). |
- The Greasepit is a Decepticon Micromaster base or Modulator from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Toys
[edit]The Transformers
[edit]
- Greasepit (Micromaster Station, 1989)
- Accessories: Sign, missile, missile launcher, ramp, gun emplacement, gas pumps
- Released in the sixth year of the The Transformers toyline (fifth year in the European line), this tiny gas station features stickers along the "building" portion to simulate the inside of a garage repair bay and a convenience store, and advertise Super Gasoline Z-1. Two simulated gas pumps and a "Gas Station" sign complete the operation. It unfolds into a tall "battle mode" with a quad-gun, three blaster cannons, a non-firing missile and floodlights, plus the "GAS" sign becomes a radar panel. Ramps allow the gas station to connect to other Micromaster stations to form larger "city" complexes.
- The set came with the Micromaster Greasepit.
- In Japan, the station was sold without changes as the Autobot Glasspit's "Gasoline Base".
Generations Selects
[edit]
- Greasepit (Deluxe Class, 2020)
- Series: War for Cybertron: Earthrise
- ID number: WFC-GS12
- Accessories: Blaster, Gas pumps, sign
- Rebranded with the name of the Gas Station's operator, Generations Selects Greasepit is a redeco of Earthrise Ironworks with a couple of new accessories. As a Modulator redeco, Greasepit can assume many different building configurations and connect to other Earthrise bases, while their parts can also be used as weapons or armor. Instead of the crane hook that Ironworks came with, Greasepit has a new fuel pump and gas station sign parts that can both connect via a 5 mm post. What used to be a crane arm is now used to mount the sign for gas station mode. Unlike most War for Cybertron Trilogy toys, stickers are used on the toy, specifically for the gas station windows and the sign's contents.
- The deco of its head and chest is inspired by the Micromaster Greasepit.
- Unlike Ironworks and the previous toyline's Weaponizers, Greasepit's instructions do not specify a method to use their components to augment other toys, instead showing two additional base modes that weren't in Ironworks' instructions (but were in Ironworks' stock images). Both toys can also assume modes from the other's instructions, due to being redecos of each other. Greasepit can also form a gun emplacement mode seen in the instructions of the Earthrise Botropolis Rescue Mission set, which contains a Sky Lynx-decoed Ironworks.
- This toy was repurposed as the Gasoline Base in Generations Selects Special Comic.
- This mold was also used to make "Botropolis Rescue Mission" Ironworks and heavily retooled into Kingdom Slammer.
Notes
[edit]- This and the other three Micromaster Stations were later re-used in one of Takara's Brave lines, omitting the Micromasters and adding a pair of non-transforming mini-figures from the series.
- The gas station is one of a handful of Micromaster bases that lack any sort of transport mode.
