Slicer is a Decepticon Action Master from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Slicer (aka Slice) only knows one thing: attack. This single-mindness has even led to difficulty in relating to his fellow Decepticons; the ever-lasting desire to attack forces Slicer to be cruel and unjust to all. On top of this, Slicer has a very short temper.

Now, with his transforming Exo-suit, Slicer is usually in the front lines, tearing through Autobots with his anger and destruction.

Following the Rebirth, Slicer followed Breakdown to Earth, where he landed in Toulon, France. Due to a malfunction with his Neuro-Centre Control Unit, his vocal processor got stuck with the local accent. Soon he fell in with Clench's second generation of Decepticons, and in 2010, he helped Clench invade the Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland. The leader of the Autobot opposition, Pyro, was captured and brought inside, while Slicer, Double Punch, and a team of Sharkticons waited outside.

However, Slicer was temporarily downed when the Decepticons were attacked by Autobot reinforcements. Slicer recovered soon enough and joined the battle. The rest of Clench's troops emerged from the Large Hadron Collider having completed their primary objective, unlocking special powers within themselves using forestonite. But unfortunately, some of the Autobots also gained special powers, and once Sky-Byte left with his Sharkticons, Clench was forced to call for a retreat. Along with his Decepticon peers, Slicer fled with a parcel of Forestonite. Safely away, he made rendezvous with... himself... just outside Rennes, France. Having been contacted earlier, Slicer handed over the Forestonite to his future self to aid in the conquest of the year 5000. In exchange, he was granted the Autobot battle plans for the next seven centuries, with a warning not to alter the timeline too much. He discovered far too late that his mysterious future self had instead bestowed upon him a copy of Ninja Gladiator for the Magnographix 16, thus showing he had been swindled. Generation 2: Redux

A redeco of Action Master Wheeljack, The Transformers Slicer is a non-transforming action figure that is compatible with all other Action Master vehicles and weapons. He comes with a battery-powered, self-propelled 4WD Assault Vehicle that transforms into an armored exo-suit with spinning blades. The exo-suit is the same base vehicle as the simultaneously released Rumbler, but with alternate weaponry. The rubber traction bands on the rear 4WD tires are prone to splitting over time.

Like the other Exo-Suit Action Masters, Slicer has only been released on European markets in 1991.

A redeco of Energon Deluxe-sized Downshift, "Decepticon Slice" transforms into a blue sports car with red and black stripes. He has a pair of dark red clear-plastic guns: one a spring-loaded missile launcher, one non-firing. These can be hand-held or attached to Slice in various ways in both modes. His spoiler is also removable and can be used as a blade weapon or something.

He can also form the top or bottom half of any silver or bronze "Powerlinx" combiner.

He was only available to BotCon 2010 Primus Package attendees, as an attendance freebie.

The polybag packaging for this toy is labeled "Slicer", but the profile card says "Decepticon Slice".

This toy was also redecoed as Universe Downshift. The Autobot symbol sculpted into his chest is painted purple so that he can be repurposed as Shattered Glass Wheeljack.

"Decepticon Slicer" is actually "Shattered Glass" Wheeljack with a weirdly involved name thing going on, but the point is this toy was made to be repurpose-able just like the above Slicer toy was, just in the opposite direction, so we're listing it here.

A redeco of Earthrise Wheeljack, Shattered Glass Collection "Decepticon Slicer" transforms into a blue sports car resembling a Lancia Stratos with some portions of the vehicle's design being similar to the Lancia Rally. For armaments, Slicer still has the original version's shoulder-mounted missile launcher which can be hand-held or mounted on either shoulder using a slot and tab combo, but also comes with two brand-new red blasters homaging the red guns from Timelines Slice (which can also be seen as an homage to Energon Downshift's weapons), which can hinge for a (slightly) proper weaponized vehicle mode. His spoiler/"wing" halves are also attached via 5 mm posts, so they can be easily removed and placed elsewhere if you want to do that.

He also comes packed with Exo-Suit, a redeco of Generations Selects Black Roritchi, who can split apart so Slicer can really arm himself to the teeth.

This figure also comes stamped with a Decepticon insignia in the same shade of pink as the original Slicer toy's, rendering him now able to function as both the negative-universe Wheeljack and the positive-universe Slicer. The choice is yours.

"Slicer, Hired Muscle" is part of the 2022 Magic: The Gathering Universes Beyond Transformers card set, found in Set Booster and Collector Booster packs of Magic's The Brothers' War set. It can be transformed to become "Slicer, High-Speed Antagonist", representing Slicer in vehicle mode.

In an utterly bizarre choice, Slicer appears with a new color scheme based on Armada Wheeljack, presumably to avoid "confusion" with Shattered Glass Slicer.

A variant of this card was available solely in Collector Booster packs, depicting the aforementioned Shattered Glass Slicer.

Notes

• Slicer is the basis for the colors of both the evil Shattered Glass Wheeljack and the Dark Energon version of Prime Wheeljack.
• A car in Slicer's colors appears in Garrison Blackrock's workshop tour in IDW's The Transformers vol. 2 #37.
• The quote for Slicer's Timelines toy is an homage to the French taunter from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, but with the word "taunt" replaced with "crush".
