Fangtron

Fangtron is a Decepticon Battle Master from the War for Cybertron Trilogy portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Fangtron is a tricky, no-good little snake who's ready for a good brawl at any time. Packed to the brim with venom, this nasty serpent's poison not only affects its victims physically, but mentally, too, attacking their self-esteem. Seems a tad petty.

Don't bother trying to fight back, though--Fangtron is practically impervious to any attack. To this end, he works with Nemesis Prime, serving as his shield and ramp.

Promoting the Earthrise chapter of the Netflix cartoon, War for Cybertron Trilogy Nemesis Prime's Spoiler Pack contains Giza and "Fangtron", an opaque Sith red redeco of the Earthrise Battle Master Slitherfang, transforming from a cobra into a shield holdable by any C.O.M.B.A.T. System-compatible figure. They also possess an A.I.R. Lock System connector in their snake mode, allowing them to form ramps by connecting to compatible bases, including Nemesis Prime's Combat Deck. An included blast effect can be attached to their shield mode to emulate gunfire colliding with it.

Much like previous Spoiler Pack, this set is in a windowless box designed to look like an ammo crate and features translatable Ancient Autobot. The text on the package reads "FANGTRON" and "GIZA", while the 'spoiler' text inside features a Decepticon-themed quote: "YOU MUST STAY TRUE / TO WHOM THE MATRIX HAS / CHOSEN, FOR IF YOU / DON’T, A MUCH / DARKER FUTURE AWAITS" and an Autobot-themed one: "THE DEAD UNIVERSE IS / UNLIKE ANYTHING YOU’VE / EXPERIENCED, PRIME", which are both quotes from Sky Lynx in Earthrise episode 5. The lateral side of the package also features artwork of Nemesis Prime, edited from art of Earthrise Optimus Prime. Compared to the previous Spoiler Pack, the packaging itself has no plastic insert.

Numerous online descriptions for this Leader Unboxing set refer to Fangtron as "Slitherfang". This set was a shared exclusive between online retailers and Walmart in Canada and the USA. In New Zealand, the set was sold exclusively at Toy World and Mighty Ape. Like the previous Spoiler Pack, the TakaraTomy release is packaged in a standard windowed box.
