Slash is an expert tracker among Dinobots, surpassing even her good friend Grimlock in skill. Feisty and self-confident, she'll turn away any help if she believes it'll slow her down. Those who manage to keep up, however, will earn her respect.

Slash preferred to work alone, so once Whirl told her they were looking for a human, Huxley Prescott, Slash attempted repeatedly to lose Whirl while tracking. She finally managed to lose Whirl by falling into quicksand and into a ruined temple, however Whirl arrived soon afterwards. Slash then accidentally set off a trap and ended up seized by an ancient statue.
