Mach Road is an Autobot from the Operation Combination portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Mach Road (マッハロード Mahha Rōdo) is a "wind speed warrior". Given that curious job description, it's no surprise that he uses the energy of the wind against the Decepticons.

He used to be friends with Flare Jet, but now Mach Road intends to punish his rival with his super-sonic wave attack!

Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers

[edit]
Who's the Boss?
  • Mach Road vs. Flare Jet (Versus pack, 1992)
Released in the eighth and final year of the original Takara Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers line under the Operation Combination banner, Mach Road is identical to the Hasbro-release Turbomaster Boss, transforming into a car of indeterminate model which is heavily reminiscent of the Batmobile used in Tim Burton's 1989 Batman film. The front of his vehicle mode features a huge turbine engine, which is a spring-loaded missile-launching cannon usable in both vehicle and robot modes.
He was only available as part of a two-pack with Flare Jet.

Notes

[edit]
  • While early promotional artwork for Mach Road (seen above) used the European-market Boss art with the inaccurate head, the actual package art was altered to give him a far more toy-accurate noggin.
