Strika's Heavies

Strika's Heavies are a subgroup from the 2019 IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

During the War of the Threefold Spark, General Strika commanded a elite, highly-trained artillery unit that found renown under the name "Strika's Heavies". She later revived the unit with new recruits at the beginning of the Decepticon uprising.

2019 IDW continuity

During one wartime campaign, the Heavies were deployed to the ruins of Yuss. There, Flak, Blitzwing, and Warpath rescued a young Megatron from Exarchon. The Change In Your Nature Part Three

Following the end of the war and the ratification of the Nominus Edict, the unit was decommissioned and its members went their separate ways, although many remained loyal to Strika. Prime Flamewar believed that, with the right name, her ad-hoc infiltration unit could be the next Strika's Heavies. The Change In Your Nature Part Four

Following the Decepticon takeover of the Senate, of which Strika played a part, Ironhide and Chromia recruited Flak and Topshot into the Autobot resistance, and paired the two veterans with Sunrunner and Sidetrack. The Autobots sent Powerglide went to find and rouse Warpath, who had grown bored with peacetime, from stasis. In the meantime, Strika recruited Heavywait and Blitzwing into a team of "New Heavies" that included Clench, Apeface, and Snaptrap. The Heavies took on the Senate Guard and killed Roulette and Chainclaw, but lost Clench in the process. Prime

After Clench was killed, Strika added Obsidian and Lugnut to the roster just before an attack on the Forge Pyramid. Titans

The Heavies were at the forefront of a massive attack on Crystal City, with Strika deploying them to various points to root out Autobot defenders. A Dust of Crystals After Lodestar arrived, most of the other Decepticons retreated, but Strika rallied the Heavies to her side for a counterattack on the damaged Titan. When Computron emerged from Lodestar, Strika ordered her team to engage the combiner, with them managing to topple him before Optimus Prime arrived and negotiated a ceasefire. The Landscape of Fear Strika was summoned elsewhere by Megatron, and the Heavies fell under the command of Jhiaxus, who had them participate in an artillery bombardment on the Autobots during their trek to Darkmount. Radical Time Some of the Heavies accompanied Megatron to personally confront Optimus Prime. End of Time

After a failed attempt to force an Autobot surrender using an imploder, the Heavies were next part of the massive assault on Darkmount to prevent them from leaving the planet. After Computron made a last stand to buy time for his comrades to escape, the Heavies took him on again and then joined with all present Decepticons to overwhelm the Autobot combiner with a concentrated barrage of firepower. While Computron was defeated, the Autobots managed to blast off and depart Cybertron, leaving the Decepticons to round up Autobot prisoners in the aftermath. Fate of Cybertron
