"Rick! I'm Pencilvester! Listen to that name, you can't kill me!"

When the 'bots who make up the Backpack Bunch need to think up a plan, they turn to Point Dexter for all their strategizing needs. Even though he's a bit of a nerd, Point Dexter is well liked by his fellow 'BotBots, as his plans rarely fail and he never has to use his eraser - traits that make him mightier than the sword.

BotBots

[edit]
  • Sugar Shocks (5-pack, 2018)
Part of the first series of BotBots, Point Dexter transforms from a stubby pencil into a super deformed robot.
He was available in one of the "Sugar Shocks" themed 5-packs, along with Laceface, Unilla Icequeencone, Sprinkleberry D'uhnut, and Lost Bot Game Over.
This mold was also used to make Gold Dexter and Scribby.
This pack is a "recommended minimum buy" for a complete set of Series 1 BotBots.

  • Greaser Gang (8-pack, 2018)
Point Dexter was also available in one of the "Greaser Gang" themed 8-packs, along with Fit Ness Monster, Major Lee Screwge, Poo Sham, Shredder Jack, S'up Dawg, Waddlepop, and Lost Bot Game Over.
This pack is a "recommended minimum buy" for a complete set of Series 1 BotBots. Yes, you end up with (at least) two of him.

  • Jock Squad (8-pack, 2018)
Point Dexter was also also available in one of the "Jock Squad" 8-packs, along with Fit Ness Monster, Fottle Barts, Goob Toob, Grit Sandwood, Laceface, Nrjeez, and Lost Bot Clogstopper.
This pack is a possible "recommended minimum buy" for a complete set of Series 1 BotBots. Grit Sandwood is the only BotBot needed in that pack, but he also appears in another Jock Squad pack where he is also the only BotBot needed in that pack. Yeah it means a bunch of redundant Bots either way, sorry!

Notes

[edit]
  • His name comes from the term "poindexter", another term for a geek.
  • The original concept art for Point Dextor shows a few very different takes on his design. [1]
    • The 2015 date on the concept art also makes Point Dexter one of the first known BotBots designed.
  • Early line-art of Point Dexter, in both robot and pencil modes, appears "inside" Clawsome's chest window, apparently as plush versions of the character available inside crane skill games. His robot mode art also shows up on Driver Ted's screen, in the "Player One" position.
  • The BotBots cartoon features numerous "Pencil Bot" generics based on Point Dexter's design with some even sharing his yellow/orange color scheme, though whether or not one of them is the actual Point Dexter is yet to be determined.
