Fiction

[edit]Shortly before the AllSpark was hidden in space by Ultra Magnus, Sideways arrived from another dimension and joined the Decepticons. Land General Sideways was responsible for overseeing the Silvart War, where he was captured by Primal Major and prepared for transportation back to Cybertron on board the Axalon. Longarm Prime speculated that thanks to the General's Trans-Phase Generator, Sideways broke free of his restraints and sabotaged the engine, causing the Axalon and its crew to succumb to a black hole.
Since Sideways was never seen again, Longarm Prime suspects Sideways was trying to get to some place called "Shanghai", which he frequently mentioned. The AllSpark Almanac II
