::I changed it to resemble the American spelling. I wasn't aware we used the British spelling on this Wiki. There is no need to get bent out of shape about it, however. :( [[User:Fiction Alchemist|C.V. Reynolds]] 09:49, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

:::Transformers isn't an American-only thing, and we have more than our share of British editors. This is simply a reminder of the validity of different spellings; I'm not "getting bent out of shape" over this. [[User:Interrobang|—Interrobang]] 09:53, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

::::Well, I could do without the sarcastic rhetoric. Nevertheless, my edits were not incorrect, so I don't see a reason for them to be removed. I'll just be careful not to say "proper" any longer if I change a spelling (and won't change the word anymore, if it bothers you for me to do so). [[User:Fiction Alchemist|C.V. A lot of the pages you're de-wikia-fying were actually redirects prior to the Great Bookworm Screwup Of March. ::Well, redirects are how typing in or linking to <nowiki>[[Optimus Prime]]</nowiki> actually takes you to [[Optimus Prime (disambiguation)]]. Now from June 2008 to March 2009... that's a long time. We've had new characters come along with the same names as old favorites, or general concensus has made a change in how we disambiguate things. So while we've been importing Google cache of our current articles, the pages that were now little more than redirects have been left as is, in their June 2008 status... so pages like <nowiki>[[Ratbat]]</nowiki> (which are supposed to redirect to [[Ratbat (G1)]] because of the addition of [[Ratbat (TransTech)]]) were now back to being as they were in June 2008 (ie, an article about G1 Ratbat). It's nice that you're trying to remove these linkbacks to Wikia, but we restored most of our pages using Google Cache (seems to me there are some D's, E's, N's, O's and P's missing, though...), so if you do find an article with a Wikia linkback, it might be a good idea to make sure it isn't a page intended to be a redirect or a deleted article. --[[User:Detour|Detour]] 23:40, 24 March 2009 (EDT)

:::Hmm. Thenm it goes like this, I figure: If the page isn't marked by, say, (G1) or (Energon) or the like, then I should check to be sure that page isn't going to be replaced by a redirect to a disambig. If the page is marked by (G1) etc, then I should just go ahead with pulling out the wikia links. Though, now I must know. What of the pages I removed the wikia link from that were redirects prior to the virus? Do I need to go back to them and do anything to them? Perhaps revert my edit? Oh, and thanks for the compliment. I'm not used to them. Just good to know that I'm doing something helpful... at least something like this until I manage to get around to taking photos of my collection for the wiki. ::::::Err, what I mean is, I want to be considerate to others, and I'm worried about causing inconsistencies in the articles, too (colour, centre, etc). [[User:Fiction Alchemist|C.V. Reynolds]] 10:11, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

:::::::Well, it's not as if we people of the Commonwealth are spelling words like 'jail' on this wiki as our obscure early modern english 'gaol'. You can still understand what we are saying as it's still considered correct english spelling. Plus one should consider the fact a significant portion of the Transformers fiction originated in the United Kingdom, whose articles about them here may have been written by non-American editors. --[[User:FFN|FFN]] 12:14, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

::::::::Yeah, it's just a detail I missed in the Teletraan I policies (I didn't read to the bottom of the page, unfortunately). As you can see by my reverts, I understand what you're saying; I realized that I had screwed up and fixed what I had done. The fact is, I was in such a hurry to improve the Wiki with little work that I got over-zealous in my editing. [[User:Fiction Alchemist|C.V. Judgement screw-up thing

Just a heads-up.

A lot of the pages you're de-wikia-fying were actually redirects prior to the Great Bookworm Screwup Of March. Might be a good idea to look back and make sure the pages you fixed up hadn't been moved elsewhere between June 2008 and March 2009. Well, redirects are how typing in or linking to [[Optimus Prime]] actually takes you to Optimus Prime (disambiguation). Now from June 2008 to March 2009... that's a long time. We've had new characters come along with the same names as old favorites, or general concensus has made a change in how we disambiguate things. So while we've been importing Google cache of our current articles, the pages that were now little more than redirects have been left as is, in their June 2008 status... so pages like [[Ratbat]] (which are supposed to redirect to Ratbat (G1) because of the addition of Ratbat (TransTech)) were now back to being as they were in June 2008 (ie, an article about G1 Ratbat). --Detour 23:40, 24 March 2009 (EDT)
