The name or term "Nemesis Prime" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Nemesis Prime (disambiguation).
Nemesis Prime is a Decepticon from the Animated continuity family.
Wait, I'm a real character? Oh crap, there were only 300 of me!

Nemesis Prime is the culmination of the Decepticons' experiments in copying Autobot shells, which also included Toxitron and Team Stunticon.[1] Upon completion, he was quickly snatched away by Straxus, and no-one has seen him since.[2]

It's probably too much to hope he stays hidden away.

  • Optimus Prime Black Ver. (Voyager, 2010)
  • TakaraTomy ID number: TA-01
  • Accessories: Axe/backpack, water cannon
Nemesis Prime is an official repurposing of the TakaraTomy "Optimus Prime Black Ver." toy.
A redeco of the Voyager Class Optimus Prime toy, "Optimus Prime Black Ver." transforms into a futuristic Earth-mode fire truck (well, the front half of one, at least). His rear portion includes a giant extinguisher cannon, which can become a hand weapon and really squirts water. His trailer also transforms into a giant double-bladed axe. These weapons can store on his back, giving the appearance of wings and a jet pack. Like his deluxe-class toys, Prime can also hold his axe two-handed, albeit not as easily achieved compared to the deluxe versions. The toy features a mouthplate which can slide up to cover his face or retract down below. He also has an Automorph feature: Pressing a button on his back flips down and rotates his lower body into the proper position for robot mode.
He was available exclusively at the Japanese "Transformers Museum" event held at the Seibu department store in Otsu, Shiga Prefecture from August 3rd to August 8th, 2010. The figure was limited to 300 pieces, cost 4,200 yen, and came in a grayscale version of the original toy's box with a golden sticker on the window declaring its name.
This mold was also used to make The Motor Master and Toxitron.

Age of the Primes

[edit]
There are now significantly more than 300 of me.
  • Ultra Magnus, Autobot Bumper VS Horri-Bull, Nemesis Prime (Multi-pack, 2025)
  • Accessories: Axe, lightbar
  • Known designers: Mark Maher (Hasbro)[3]
Age of the Primes Nemesis Prime is a redeco of Animated Universe Optimus Prime with a new masked head sculpt, and transforms into a black fire truck cab with a removable lightbar. An additional set of wheels are hidden inside the front bumper to help with the stability of the vehicle mode, as the cab is sculpted far ahead from the actual wheel axles. In a surprising case of attention to detail, the inside of his cab has full-featured sculpted interior details, with a static steering wheel and stereo in the chest, seats on the backs of the shoulders, and even sun shades in the roof!
He comes with a battle axe with extendable handle, which can be mounted onto the truck hitch for storage. The "thruster" on the back of the axe-head is Fire Blast effect-compatible. The very bottom tip of the axe-handle is also Fire-Blast-effect-compatible.
He was only available as part of a box set alongside Ultra Magnus, Horri-Bull and Bumper, which was made available for pre-order on June 6, 2025.

Notes

[edit]
  • According to character designer Derrick J. Wyatt, the bit about Straxus taking command of Nemesis is a reference to the Alternators Nemesis Prime's bio. He was most likely intending to refer to his Universe 2.0 bio, however, as the Alternators bio has no mention of Straxus whatsoever.
