The exact origins of Agorria and Zertonia are shrouded in mystery. The Agorrians believe that the two halves of the Sacred Ring were once two separate warring planets. Per this account, when Agorria and Zertonia's sun collapsed into a black hole, the two planets found it practical to lay down their arms and come together to survive. Together, they rebuilt their worlds into two halves, joined together around the black hole, with Agorrians and Zertonians living in harmony for thousands of years. Void Rivals issue 2

However, the Sacred Ring is also said to be the creation of the Cybertronian sage Zerta Trion, or the deity Zerta, as the Zertonians would come to know her. This would be corroborated by both Springer Void Rivals issue 10 and the Quintessons Void Rivals issue 15. Whether Zerta Trion created the Sacred Ring and its inhabitants wholesale or merely aided them in building their new homeworld is unknown. The Ring would serve a secondary purpose besides saving the Agorrians and Zertonians: acting as an engine that generated its own energon. Void Rivals issue 10 A wasteland came to exist between the edges of Agorria and Zertonia. Void Rivals issue 6

According to legend, the warring planets Agorria and Zertonia orbited the same sun thousands of years ago. When that sun collapsed into a black hole, the two races came together to save themselves. They connected their two planets around the black hole, each now forming one half of the Sacred Ring, or Ring of Zerta. Sadly, they fell back to war over control of their newly shared home. But maybe one day, revelations from the past will unite the two races once more.

When you first saw Halo, were you blinded by its majesty?

Following their expulsion from Cybertron, the Quintessons dispatched Goliant to the planet.
