Does it really matter that much. In the Machine Wars toy series, Optimus Prime's biocard had his function as Supreme Commander. So it's not always japanese.

... what? No, really, what the hell does that even mean? Nobody, and I repeat NOBODY is going to do a search for "Cheetor (BM)". No page anywhere should even HAVE "Cheetor (BM)" on it. Energon Axe/Mace

Can you give a source where the two movie leader weapons are actually referred to as this? Because I don't believe there's actually been any mention of these being official incarnations of the earlier weapons.--Rosicrucian^Talk 19:00, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

So they didn't say energon. What if the axe is made of energon crystal? The movie is based on Generation 1, so they probably used elements from that continuity in the movie, just as they used the title of Prime for Optimus Prime.

Megatron's mace weapon is clearly a solid object, so that's clear. Optimus, on the other hand, his weapon is shows to gave light wen he killed bonecrusher, but that might be just heat.--Grand-majin 19:27, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

They're certainly homages, but that's not what we're asking here. We're asking if you have an official source on whether or not it says that they're made of energon, and whether or not Prime's weapon is a sword or an axe. -- SFH 19:29, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

I'll admit the fact that the weapons being made of energon is debatable, but Prime's weapon is an axe. The "sword" is protruding outward at the end if you notice. Jedi Wolf 19:35, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

I don't think you're getting it. We don't care what you think it looks like. It's not this Wiki's job to speculate on that level. We can only really go with what official sources call it. If Hasbro calls it a sword, it's a sword.--Rosicrucian^Talk 15:11, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Besides, it really doesn't look much like an axe. An axe has a blade on a head that is separate from the hilt, but this just has a straight blade with a bulge near the end. - Semysane 21:16, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
