:I don't think you're getting it. We don't care what you ''think'' it looks like. It's not this Wiki's job to speculate on that level. We can only really go with what official sources call it. ::Besides, it really doesn't look much like an axe. An axe has a blade on a head that is separate from the hilt, but this just has a straight blade with a bulge near the end. - [[User:Semysane|Semysane]] 21:16, 8 April 2008 (UTC) | |||

Japanese titles
[edit]Please stop shoehorning Japanese titles into the text. —Interrobang 21:15, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
- Did you ever consider that he might be Japanese, Interrobang? -- SFH 21:21, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
- No, I didn't, because it's not relevant to anything. —Interrobang 21:36, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
Does it really matter that much. In the Machine Wars toy series, Optimus Prime's biocard had his function as Supreme Commander. So it's not always japanese.
- A function in a barely-existing toyline doesn't warrant a link to an article that primarily concerns itself with the Japanese usage of the title. —Interrobang 21:36, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
You know, all of those parenthetical redirects are really unneccessary. Please ease off it. --M Sipher 19:55, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
- Considering the fact that someone just accused us of being anti-Japanese, I's say his actions aren't a bad idea. -- SFH 20:04, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
... what? No, really, what the hell does that even mean? Nobody, and I repeat NOBODY is going to do a search for "Cheetor (BM)". No page anywhere should even HAVE "Cheetor (BM)" on it. People are going to look up "cheetor". We do NOT need a parenthetical redirect for every single franchise a single character may bave appeared in. --M Sipher 20:24, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
Energon Axe/Mace
[edit]Can you give a source where the two movie leader weapons are actually referred to as this? Because I don't believe there's actually been any mention of these being official incarnations of the earlier weapons.--RosicrucianTalk 19:00, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- Especially considering they don't seem to be made of energon, or any other sort of energy for that matter. They appear to just be a sword and a mace. - Semysane 19:03, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- Or a sword and a grappling hook. Whichever.--RosicrucianTalk 19:04, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
So they didn't say energon. What if the axe is made of energon crystal? The movie is based on Generation 1, so they probably used elements from that continuity in the movie, just as they used the title of Prime for Optimus Prime.
- Megatron's mace weapon is clearly a solid object, so that's clear. Optimus, on the other hand, his weapon is shows to gave light wen he killed bonecrusher, but that might be just heat.--Grand-majin 19:27, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- They're certainly homages, but that's not what we're asking here. We're asking if you have an official source on whether or not it says that they're made of energon, and whether or not Prime's weapon is a sword or an axe. -- SFH 19:29, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

I'll admit the fact that the weapons being made of energon is debatable, but Prime's weapon is an axe. The "sword" is protruding outward at the end if you notice. Jedi Wolf 19:35, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- Unless it is called an "Energon Axe," we can't include it in that article.--RosicrucianTalk 19:40, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
Does it mention what the weapons are called in the instructions or bios for the toys? I don't have either Movie Megs or Prime, so I can't check myself - Semysane 20:05, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- Hasbro calls it an 'energy sword' --FFN 23:54, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
1)Just put a disclaimer on the page that says "This weapon is not made of energon". 2)If it's a sword, then why did they make it look like an axe? Jedi Wolf 14:52, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
