[edit]Just out of curiosity, what program would I need to be able to read .psd files? ---Blackout- 07:53, 16 September 2009 (EDT)
- Photoshop, or a Photoshop-ish program like GIMP. -Mazenoise 10:10, 16 September 2009 (EDT)
- Pretty much what the man said. It's a Photoshop format, but a number of graphics programs can read it these days.--RosicrucianTalk 10:59, 16 September 2009 (EDT)
- And to think I just happen to have GIMP on my computer. ---Blackout- 12:38, 16 September 2009 (EDT)

SG Bludgeon caption
[edit]What is the caption you keep returning to SG Bludgeon, I don't recognize it as anything. I figures a nice Kid rock song quote would be more rcognizeable. 207.181.17.24 20:27, 11 November 2009 (EST)
- It is wiki policy to revert when people are just changing other people's captions without adding content.--RosicrucianTalk 20:50, 11 November 2009 (EST)
- Also, eyuw, Kid Rock. --M Sipher 20:53, 11 November 2009 (EST)
- Don't be hating on a Michigan boy. Besides, how is a retarded cowboy quote any good? Maybe I can find something from Ted Nugent for SG Carnivac (if he had a picture)...207.181.17.24 21:12, 11 November 2009 (EST)

keys to the 'bot
[edit]I have been abyssally busy, and the linkfix 'bot has been broken since June. In theory I'm working on a ground-up re-code. In practice... the project is in someday-maybe territory. That's bad, our link-structure will start to get ragged.
I've rolled the Deceptitran link-fix 'bot back to May of this year and gotten it working again. But since I've been crazy-busy I'm also giving you a copy of the keys. Go to the movelog in RecentChanges and you should now see the Deceptitran links are live. (The 'bot itself is protected by a server-login you'll have to give the first time you queue a link up per session. I'm PMing you the password for THAT on the Allspark messageboard. You will remain logged into Deceptitran for several hours.)
- The interface is a bit clumsy-- but also self-explanatory.
- Enjoy seeing the SQL-echos! They make my life easier when debugging.
- Queued fixes changes are executed at a rate of 1-per-minute 24/7.
- You can go into a job and remove specific pages by hand if necessary, or force them to edit-right-now with "do one edit"
- There is no 'pause' and no order; a linkfix is executed at random from the hundreds (or thousands) pending.
- If a link is in a template (like a franchise navigation) it will try to edit all the pages that include that template. (Null-edits,) That's wasteful... but who cares? Deceptitran can make 43,000 edits per month... wasting its time doesn't hurt anybody. (The template itself is also on the list of pages to fix that link on, so it'll get it eventually.)
- It does catch storylinks. It does not catch previous/next links in templates. (something to fix for the recode.)
- It will simply fail to fix some links. It always has. If it's IMPORTANT, double-check.
- If there are no pages-that-link-to-this, Deceptitran just sits there and gives you a blank page.
- You cannot queue up the same job (fix) twice without deleting the old one.
- Completed jobs must be removed by hand.
(You'll figure out the workflow-- tabs are your friend.) I think that's all. I used to just go into the movelog and queue up recent page-moves twice a week... it shouldn't take more than about 3 minutes. (I picked you because you don't go around rearranging deckchairs.) If you think someone else should have access... let me know.
Statistically, making arrangements like this probably means I'm going to suddenly find myself back on tfwiki more, rendering all this unnecessary. For problems, questions, or passive-aggressive statements... you can usually find me online @ my IM account, which is listed on my userpage. -Derik 07:02, 21 November 2009 (EST)
Hello, and goals

Admin request
[edit]Hey, yellow-kid type!
Could you (or another admin, but it looks like you're around...) possibly add the following line to the very beginning of MediaWiki:Common.css? (So it's BEFORE the previous import?)
@import "/w2/index.php?title=User:Derik/Common_tmp.css&action=raw&ctype=text/css";
As a user CSS page, only I (or possibly an admin?) can edit it, so it's safe from most vandalism.
(The idea is to move styles that are semi-finalized off of my server's temp file so that if my server goes down the CSS is at least loading off of TFWiki. The link to my server's temp file remains for rapid-development purposes though.) -Derik 13:50, 29 December 2009 (EST)
Why'd you change the BW Silverbolt page back?
[edit]You changed the picture caption back to the rather uninspired "Watch out for my deadly spoons". Did you find the new caption I added unamusing? Buddy 23:45, 7 April 2010 (EDT)

[edit]You know what. You are right. I should have focused more on changing the comment to make it right, rather then deleting it. I am sorry for focusing on deleting it then changing it.I will think about that when editing in the future.LordDalek 11:22, 17 October 2010 (EDT)
Allspark messages?
[edit]Hey, Rosi? I sent you a couple of messages on the AllSpark slightly less than a week ago about SG Drift's guns (I have two rights, you have two lefts, and I wanted to trade), but I see you haven't read them yet? Just wondering if the PM system was acting funky or something... --Monzo 14:53, 25 February 2012 (EST)
- Sorry about that. I tend to ratchet my notifications for online stuff down to the minimum, so I hadn't spotted. I sent a reply just now.--RosicrucianTalk 13:18, 29 February 2012 (EST)
Quick Question
[edit]How do you put that link to your talk page in when you sign things? Can you do it automatically? Or do you have to do it manually? -- spyder 19:53, 10 September 2012 (EDT)
- It's under the "nickname" field in "my preferences." For example, mine parsed out into code is: RosicrucianTalk Hope this helps!--RosicrucianTalk 19:56, 10 September 2012 (EDT)
- Okay, but what do you actually type in the nickname field? -- spyder 20:09, 10 September 2012 (EDT)
- That was an exact copy and paste of mine. It would, of course, need to be altered to reflect your username. The Talk is HTML code that produces the superscript in mine. I nearly forgot to mention, but you'll have to put a check in "raw signatures" to get it to parse the code right.--RosicrucianTalk 20:17, 10 September 2012 (EDT)

This may be a long shot, but...
[edit]I understand that this may be a long shot since you haven't edited since 2021, and what I'm reaching out to you about is something from all the way back in 2010, but I feel it still couldn't hurt to ask anyway. Back in July 2010, you added the contents of the long-since-deleted article titled "Optimus Prime's ancestor" to the article of Prima, with an edit summary stating that Hasbro had declared this character to be Prima and that, by extension, the Protoform Optimus Prime toy of the 2007 Movie toyline had been repurposed as Prima. Since then, all relevant information has cited "Tales of the Fallen issue 4" (the comic story in which this repurposed Protoform Optimus Prime ancestor character appeared in) as the source of this character's identity being Prima.
However, rereading that story reveals that the character was completely unnamed in it. Recently, this matter was brought to the attention of myself and several others, and we went looking for any kind of official source that declared this unnamed Prime from "Tales of the Fallen #4" to be Prima, which would have had to have come after TOTF #4's release in November 2009 and the before the July 2010 edit you made to Prima's article. However, after looking through other IDW release from that time, panel coverage of BotCon 2010, the Hasbro Q&A sessions, and even the AllSpark Almanac II, we came up short of anything to support this notion.
So, now, since you were the one who made the original edit, I am reaching out to you for your help. Do you have any recollection from back then as to where you heard that Hasbro had said that the unnamed Prime from TOTF #4 was Prima? I know it's been a long time since then, but we'd really like to be able to cite a proper source for this information, and would appreciate any help you can offer, please and thank you. --Sabrblade (talk) 22:09, 26 January 2025 (EST)
- I can answer this. The last half of the BotCon 2010 "Hasbro Designer" panel revealed to us (some of) The Thirteen for the first time. We got to see eventual-Covenant-of-Primus-hardcover art of Vector Prime, Prima, Solus (I think), Megatronus, and The Fallen and maybe a few others. The Fallen art from this panel is lost media, since it's never sinced been published outside of that no-photos panel. This is also where we learned Megatronus's name. AND this is also when, while Aaron and Rik(?) were introducing Prima, they identified Prima as the Tales of the Fallen character. Hence why Rosicrucian's 2010 edit noted that this was "according to Hasbro" in the days following the convention. according to my 15-year-old memory, anyway --ItsWalky (talk) 19:28, 31 January 2025 (EST)
Question about Dead Men's Boots
[edit]I've never used TFwiki's discussion pages before so I hope I'm doing this right but you uploaded a picture of Springer and Ironfist from the Dead Men's Boots mini story from the Last Stand of the Wreckers bonus stories and I was wondering if you scanned it yourself? I really want to read the bonus stories (particularly Bullets) but I can't find the comic anywhere legally so I thought I'd ask the person who's uploaded a picture of it. -- (talk) 21:52, 7 March 2025 (EST)
- Dead Men's Boots was published online, so it's just a clip from the actual image. Mosaic comics are all single-page, and that one is available to read in the "External Links" section of that page.--RosicrucianTalk 20:54, 9 March 2025 (EDT)
