*Vollet is often identified in Western fandom as "Bullet". However, this does not match the original Japanese ''Boretto'' (ボレット); "bullet" is transliterated into Japanese as ''baretto'' (バレット). ''Boretto'', like [[Zetca]], is taken from a previous licensed toyline made by [[TakaraTomy|Takara]]—in this case, ''{{w|Space Pirate Captain Harlock|Captain Harlock}}''. Takara's series features spaceships in the ''Boretto'' series, whose toys are labeled in Latin letters as "Bullet". However, Romanization on later toys and packaging renders this word as "Vollet" to better match its origins as a made-up sci-fi word. If it has a real etymology, the best guess is a portmanteau of "volley" (ボレー ''borē'') and "bullet".

Graze me, you know you want to.
  • Vollet (Masterforce Warrior, 1988)
A redeco of the Powermaster Nebulan Lube, Vollet transforms from an armored human into an engine block that can fit in the engine-plug of any Autobot Powermaster/Godmaster toy, unlocking their transformation features. (He can fit into Decepticon sockets, but will not unlock their transformation.)
He was sold in a small box in Japan as part of the Super-God Masterforce series, along with the other separate Godmaster engines Aquastar and Zetca.
This mold as also used to make the Godmaster engine form of Road King.

Notes

[edit]
  • Vollet is often identified in Western fandom as "Bullet". However, this does not match the original Japanese Boretto (ボレット); "bullet" is transliterated into Japanese as baretto (バレット). Boretto, like Zetca, is taken from a previous licensed toyline made by Takara—in this case, Captain Harlock. Takara's series features spaceships in the Boretto series, whose toys are labeled in Latin letters as "Bullet". However, Romanization on later toys and packaging renders this word as "Vollet" to better match its origins as a made-up sci-fi word. If it has a real etymology, the best guess is a portmanteau of "volley" (ボレー borē) and "bullet".
