Garage kits

[edit]

In 1996 they released a line of Takara approved resin model "garage kits" based on three Transformers characters. These kits also included a pack-in comic written and drawn by Hidetsugu Yoshioka and bios.

Main article: Source:MC Axis
  • Of the bios included with the garage kits, Hot Rod's and Arcee's are shortened translations of their extended English bios as printed in The Transformers Universe. This makes the MC Axis bio Arcee's first bio published in Japan. Elita One's bio was uniquely made for the garage kit.
  • While Hot Rod's name is presented as "Hot Rod" in the English text, the Japanese text refers to him by his Japanese name of Hot Rodimus.
