#REDIRECT Dynasty of Primes#Revenge of the Fallen movie

The Seven Primes were the seven original leaders of Cybertron. Each possessed a form which differed greatly from their descendants. They travelled the galaxy looking for suns from which they could harvest Energon.  However, they tempered their search for energy by vowing they would never take a life in its pursuit.

One of their number may be called Sentinel. Another was The Fallen before...well...before he fell.

Revenge of the Fallen (film)
At least 19,000 years ago, the Seven Primes reached a solar system that included a life-bearing world.  Six of the Primes thus objected to using a solar harvester on the system's sun.  The seventh, however, insisted on using the harvester anyway, and turned on his brothers and their creed, attacking them and slaughtering many of the world's semi-sapient creatures.  He was thereafter ever known as The Fallen.  The remaining Primes battled off the Fallen and hid the Matrix of Leadership, without which he could not activate the harvester, in a tomb composed of their own bodies.  In the present day, when Sam Witwicky sacrificed his life in an attempt to use the remnants of the Matrix to resurrect Optimus Prime to defeat The Fallen, the other six Primes appeared to Sam in a vision, pronounced him worthy of receiving the Matrix, and sent his soul back to his body.
