And yet none of the pieces revealed themselves to be BotBots in disguise. Sigh

Chess is an Earthly game originating from a landmass known to the squishy fleshlings that inhabit it as India. Because of the Hungry Dragon campaign, two versions of this game include pieces based on an elaborate cover-up by an autonomous government agency.

It is not Fullstasis.

Too ambitious for its own good...
  • Transformers Gen-1 Chess Set (2021)
The Transformers Generation One Chess Set was the first Kickstarter campaign by Eaglemoss and had many different tiers attached to it. The complete set would have come with 32 unique pieces based directly on the original cartoon and its movie, plus three replacement pieces, a chess board, a pin badge and an exclusive 272-page Character Guide book. It is entirely possible that more tiers would have been added had the campaign been successful.
The campaign concluded unsuccesfully on September 24, 2021, having raised only $92,054 of its $300,000 goal in pledges.
Autobot Decepticon
Pawn Arcee, Bluestreak, Bumblebee, Jazz, Prowl, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker & Wheeljack Brawl, Frenzy, Laserbeak, Ravage, Rumble, Scrapper, Shrapnel & Thrust
Rook Iron Hide [sic] & Ratchet Astrotrain & Blitzwing
Knight Hot Rod & Springer / Wreck-Gar (replacement) Shockwave & Soundwave
Bishop Ultra Magnus & Grimlock Skywarp & Thundercracker
Queen Elita One Starscream
King Optimus Prime / Rodimus Prime (replacement) Megatron / Galvatron (replacement)
