When Quintessa was devoured by Unicron, Alpha Quintesson tried to escape the planet with the devices, but the Conduit was lost. The Initiator is an ancient relic of some great importance. Alpha Quintesson and Councillor Avalon intend to employ it as a key element in their undisclosed plans for Cybertron, Earth and Unicron. The human Kicker may have a connection to the object.

Energon ceased publication before the story could conclude. The following would have taken place in unpublished issues.
