This is Apocrypha

The content of this page is considered to be apocrypha or pseudocanon. Fiction that is considered pseudocanon generally falls into one of two categories. It is most likely either unofficial fiction from an official creator that is so informative as to the creator's thought process and/or so influential to the fandom as to be worth documenting, or fiction that is published in such a way as to render it unofficial, such as fan works published as ancillary or bonus images/fiction with other official work. As such, new ideas and concepts introduced here may not hold true for work that is completely canonical.

Over-Run shares his fears with a certain person while Alpha Quintesson continues his attack on Earth.

Synopsis

[edit]

Six months after the massive Terrorcon attack against the Earth, the Autobots continue their efforts to defend the planet, now protected by a global energy shield, from attacks by both the reborn Megatron, and Alpha Quintesson's newest Terrorcon general, Doom-Lock. Optimus Prime remains lost, trapped within the body of Unicron, forcing the Autobots to construct new, more powerful soldiers, beginning with Omega Supreme.

Kicker, meanwhile, after his recent surge in power, is being actively trained in the use of his new abilities by Alterenergy, in hopes of better understanding them and why the Terrorcons want Kicker so badly. Kicker, however, is less than interested in jumping through hoops, and abandons his training. Attempting to hit the road, he flags down a passing truck... which turns out to be Demolishor!

As these events play out, Over-Run taps into the Hub, the vast planetary consciousness of Cybertron, in search of enlightenment. His efforts are rewarded with a vision: he sees the destruction of Alpha Quintesson's homeworld, Quintessa, by Unicron, thousands of years ago, and watches as the alien scientist rushes to save himself. He carries a device known as the "Initiator", and calls for the "Conduit" to be brought to him, only for it to be destroyed in the chaos. As Alpha Quintesson's ship is pulled back into Unicron's maw, he teleports the Initiator away, to... someone. Unable to process all the information, Over-Run is led to believe that Alpha Quintesson has somehow "seeded" Cybertron, before time suddenly races ahead, and Over-Run finds himself witnessing the future. The Initiator is launched from Cybertron... a portal opens... and Quintesson ships emerge and assault Cybertron! All this information leads him to the disturbing conclusion that someone on Cybertron is a traitor... and he confides this fact to Councillor Avalon, Alpha Quintesson's secret collaborator and the very traitor Over-Run fears!

Notes

[edit]
  • This issue was never released. What we know of it comes from writer Simon Furman's blog posts.
  • This issue, and the other unreleased issues of Dreamwave's Energon comic, were declared to be "true and accurate" to the Dreamwave Unicron Trilogy universe by a 2015 entry of Ask Vector Prime.
  • Airazor appears on the Decepticon side of the chess field on the cover of this issue. Though originally an Autobot and later one of the Horsemen, her toy does sport a Decepticon insignia for some unknown reason.
