Throttlebot is an Autobot Throttlebot from the Marvel portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
You can't see me!

This character has no official visual representation in any Transformers product or media... yet, at least.

Throttlebot is, perhaps confusingly, a Throttlebot. His alternate mode is a helicopter.

Transformers Comic-Magazin

[edit]

After performing assigned reconnaissance around the Autobot base, Throttlebot reported to the other Autobots that everything was too "quiet", especially before the launch of an artificial human satellite designed to detect any Decepticon incursion on Earth. Throttlebot reported on the details of said satellite, based on his observation of television programs. The Countdown to a New Space Age!

Notes

[edit]
  • As crazy as it sounds, the actual story in which he appears both describes him as being a Throttlebot, and gives his name as Throttlebot!
  • When Optimus Prime needed a helicopter during the events of "New York — A City Sinking in Terror" he had to rent one. Presumably this implies that Throttlebot was either not stationed on Earth, or not an Autobot at the time.
  • "A Big Day for Powermaster Optimus Prime" tells us that in this continuity, no Autobots transform into aircraft since "flight modes provoke a demonstration of power". Luckily, Throttlebot wasn't around to hear this prejudice against him.
  • That, or it could just be that the writer of the story he appears in was simply very confused regarding the Throttlebot subgroup.
