[edit]Marvel The Transformers comics
[edit]After Captain Whitley had secured Stansham Castle, Major Dawes arrived to inspect the site but as his Land Rover drove up it was attacked by a giant robot. Leaping clear of the exploding wreckage, he watched as the battle was joined by a second robot, two jets, two robot birds, a Porsche, and a spacecraft. Major Dawes took the advice of the castle's curator and his son and retreated from the increasingly dangerous field of combat. Man of Iron
The order of the three Seekers above (with Starscream in robot mode) is arbitrarily taken from the US coloring of the issue. The story's script suggests it is Skywarp who appears first, referencing his teleporting ability, and the UK Collected Comics version had the robot coloured as Thundercracker. Take your pick.
Notes
[edit]- The Stansham Castle incident was subsequently covered up to the public. As an officer in the army and a witness to the events, it's likely that Major Dawes was involved, if not in command of the operation.
