Janice Chiang (born December 28, 1955) is a prolific comic book letterer with over a thousand credits at Marvel as part of a career dating back to the mid-1970s. As part of her freelance lettering gig for Marvel's The Transformers, she built on the work of Michael Higgins and Rick Parker to codify the Transformers' square speech bubbles and thought balloons, creating designs that would be used pretty consistently for the rest of the comic's lifespan.[1]
