:Guard City's deco shares a lot in common with most Defensor knock-offs, with [[Streetwise]]'s mould rendered in stark white (rather than off-white) and [[Hot Spot]] done in red. Fire Chief stands out from fakes, though, because he retains some of Hot Spot's powder blue plastic, on his fists and ladder. Knock-offs almost never render the helicopter in blue like Fly Up, however. The only difference between Groove and Sparkrride is their stickers, the same is true of the combiner parts -- Only the chest plate stickers are different.

Not a good day for cheap redecos.

Guard City (ガードシティ Gādo Shiti) is a high-ranking Autobot warrior, who commands the Micromaster Six-Teams in their defense of Earth. His nemesis is the Decepticon combiner Battle Gaia.

Guard City is composed of the following individual Autobots:

As a Free-Combiner, the individual robots making up Guard City's limbs enjoy a certain level of autonomy, allowing them to consciously rearrange themselves to suit specific situations. Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers

[edit]
The most expensive redeco with the least amount of changes from the original.
  • Guard City (Multi-pack, 1992)
  • ID number: TF-04
  • Accessories: Guard City left & right chestplates, hip guard, left & right fists, left & right footplates / 2 Fire Chief rifles, 2 hoses / Fly-Up left & right cannons, pistol / Safety cannon & pistol / Sparkride left & right cannons, pistol / Streetsar cannon & pistol
Released in the eighth and final year of the original Takara Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers line under the Operation Combination banner, Guard City is a redeco of the original Defensor, a combination of five emergency-response vehicles. He is largely similar to Defensor, with only a handful of plastic colors changed (sometimes only subtly so), plus some —but not all— of the decals are changed. Since he uses the Scramble City-style of combination, he can be assembled with any of the limb-bots in any socket.
Guard City was only available as a complete box set of five robots (Fire Chief, Fly-Up, Safety, Sparkride, and Streetstar). As one of the last releases of the Japanese Transformers line, at a time when pretty much everyone had stopped buying Transformers, a loose set of the team can demand prices over a thousand U.S. dollars, even with three constituents being nigh-identical to the Protectobots.
