The name or term "Pinpointer" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Pinpointer (disambiguation).
Pinpoint is an Autobot-allied Mini-Con from the Power Core Combiners portion of the movie continuity family.

Pinpoint provides his Bulk partner Leadfoot with the extra power he needs to take on the Decepticons. When combined in vehicle mode, they become invisible to the enemy's sensors.

Power Core Combiners

[edit]
  • Leadfoot with Pinpoint (Commander Class, 2010)
Part of the second wave of Power Core Combiners Commander-class toys, Pinpoint was available only with his larger partner Leadfoot. He transforms from a small robot into an engine for Leadfoot's vehicle mode, a blaster-cannon for robot mode, as well as armor for any Commander robot when in their super-robot torso mode. His Powerlinx socket is hollow so he can peg onto any 5mm post. However, he cannot activate Powerlinx gimmicks on Armada-era toys.
During the period between December 26 2010 and January 31 2011, Hasbro ran their "Supercharge Your Holidays" promotion: for every $20 spent on Hasbro-branded product, customers could receive a free, random product from a list provided by Hasbro. Among the items on the list was "Transformers Combiners & Speed Stars Mini Vehicle". According to this discussion thread on Allspark.com, Leadfoot with Pinpoint was one of the figures distributed.
This toy was later released in Japan as Arms Micron Firebolt, and redecoed to make United Sparks.

  • Power Core Combiners Special Value Offer (Value Pack, 2011)
Leadfoot and Pinpoint were also made available as part of a Walmart-exclusive Black Friday "Value Pack", combining a 5-pack team with a Commander 2-pack via packaging tape and a couple of stickers, for the whopping price of ten bucks, merely a third of what the two toys would normally cost.
So far, Leadfoot has been found attached to the Grimstone/Dinobots and Steamhammer/Constructicons sets.

Notes

[edit]
  • Pinpoint is sculpted to resemble a Generation 1 Powermaster partner figure. He even transforms the same way into engine mode.
