The planet Karn (or Korn) offers a surface of rocks, sand, and various crystalline structures to its native species, a slightly evolved ogreish race at least capable of fabricating itself weapons and houses.

[edit]The Cybertronian Empire slaughtered the native population of Karn in hopes of baiting the Autobots out of hiding. The genocide, though failing to attract the Autobots' attention, was going according to plan until the Swarm arrived, which changed the Cybertronians' status from hunter to prey. Though the Swarm frightened the remaining man-animals, it ended up coincidentally saving their lives, as the Swarm had no interest in anything but the consumption of metal and metal alone. Swarm
