Levardis Robert Martyn Burton, Jr. (born February 16, 1957), professionally known as LeVar Burton, is an American actor, producer, presenter and director (but you don't have to take his word for it!). On screen, he's known for his portrayals of Kunta Kinte in Roots, Geordi La Forge from Star Trek: The Next Generation and for hosting Reading Rainbow for 23 years.
In the world of voice acting Burton has played Kwame in Captain Planet and the Planeteers, War Machine on The Super Hero Squad Show, a creepy bubble in Adventure Time, and Black Lightning in Superman/Batman: Public Enemies.
You don't actually want to meet LeVar Burton; you just want an autographed picture. You can't disappoint a picture.
