In ancient times, Cybertron was led by the [[Thirteen]] who each led one of the [[Thirteen Tribes]] on the planet. These tribes were engaged in warfare with one another with the Citadel of Light being the home of Onyx Prime along with her beastial Transformers. When the Primes disappeared, Onyx Prime was the last of their number to vanish with her former Citadel being under siege by forces that included [[Nova Prime|Nova Major]]. After breaking into the Citadel of Light, Nova Major along with [[Alpha Trion (G1)|Alpha Trion]] and [[Galvatron (G1)/IDW Generation 1 continuity|Galvatron]] sought to forge a new world now that the time of the Primes had ended. {{storylink|The Crucible}}
