The name or term "Red Alert" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Red Alert (disambiguation).
Red Alert is an Autobot from the Robots in Disguise continuity family.
I may or may not be paranoid like another Red Alert.

Red Alert was an Autobot warrior who got involved in the Universe War along with Optimus Prime. It didn't end well for Red Alert.

[edit]

Hailing from Viron 903.0 Beta, Red Alert was abducted along with Optimus Prime by Unicron, but Red Alert was killed in the Cauldron. Meanwhile, the Inferno of Aurex 1104.30-JH Zeta was abducted by Unicron after his death in his home universe; his disembodied spark found the corpse of Red Alert and allowed Inferno to return to life...although he was disappointed to learn that Red Alert's weapons were designed to extinguish fires, rather than start them. Universe (2003)

[edit]
Maybe I'm a wankus.
  • Inferno (Deluxe Class, 2003)
    • Accessories: Left & right thrusters, 2 "flame" missiles
Universe Inferno was repurposed (quite literally) as Robots in Disguise Red Alert.
A redeco of the 2001 Robots in Disguise Prowl toy in a deco similar to that of Generation 1 Red Alert, Universe Inferno transforms into a "Fire Chief" Lamborghini Diablo. The toy features a pair of pressure-launch missile launchers, which attach to the car mode spoiler or to the robot mode forearm, as well as attaching to the car mode's light bar in robot mode to form a jet pack.
The same mold is used by the 2003 Universe versions of Generation 1 Sideswipe and Sunstreaker.

Notes

[edit]
  • The Universe Inferno toy was originally supposed to be Generation 1 Red Alert. When the naming issue was brought up on Transformers brand designer Aaron Archer's Orson's World forum, he said that the "Inferno" name was a mistake that somehow passed and that it was too late to do anything about it. In an attempt to deal with the confusion, the biography 3H created for this toy to be used on Hasbro's Transformers website stated that this was an alternate universe version of Beast Wars Inferno, though the biography was never published. Years later, the Facebook edition of Ask Vector Prime would canonize the biography and further retcon that the 2003 Universe Inferno toy represented a deceased 2001 Robots in Disguise Red Alert whose body was possessed by an Armada Beast Wars Inferno.
