Trans-phase mode (トランスフェイズ・モード Toransufeizu mōdo) is the nebulous, nanite-like form that Sideways and other agents of Unicron sometimes take. Whether it be a nanite cloud, a static-textured tentacle, or his appearance projected onto the sky, it doesn't matter. Regardless of the form, you can't destroy them! Even if you hack them into tiny pieces.
